In Her Shoes (Economic Justice Version): This version of In Her Shoes® will increase awareness of the additional struggles survivors of domestic violence face when they lack financial resources. The perspective of the abusive partner is also represented in the Economic Justice Edition. Most useful for longer training sessions where there are opportunities for group discussion. Services Overview: This presentation provides an overview of the programs and services provided by the Southwest Crisis Center and answers the questions “What is an advocate?” and “What does it mean to ‘walk alongside someone?'” Darkness to Light, Stewards of Children: This training teaches adults practical actions they can take to reduce instances of child sexual abuse in their organizations, families, and communities. Through interviews with a very diverse group of people with lived experience, experts, and treatment providers, Stewards of Children® is one of the only award-winning, evidence-informed, adult-focused child sexual abuse prevention trainings in the United States proven to increase knowledge and change behavior.
