Boost Your Skills and Confidence When Working With Victims Of Strangulation

Strangulation is one of the most lethal forms, and subsequent predictor for homicide of victims of domestic violence. Training all professionals working on sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking cases to recognize, treat, and document symptoms and behavior consistent with strangulation is important for the health and safety of victims as well as for the prosecution of offenders.

Featured Speakers:
Linda Walther RN, SANE A & Savanha Winkel MSN, RN SANE

This training is designed for law enforcement, prosecution, advocacy, and medical professionals. Attendees will learn how to: identify the signs and symptoms of non-fatal strangulation, recognize the anatomy and medical aspects of non-fatal strangulation, improve documentation of evidence, and understand the needs of victim/survivors. This will allow for increased prosecution of all strangulation cases. The collaboration of professionals in strangulation cases ultimately improves both the care and safety of survivors.
